There is something majestic about sitting on a mountain top and watching a sunrise, sunset, the vast view around you. One of my favorite memories is from sitting on top of a mountain on one of the farms I worked, watching the sun come up. The dew was dancing on the freshly sown paddocks below, sparkling like diamonds on the fresh shoots emerging. Down the valley, the fog was settling around the hill tops, with the tops of the hills emerging like islands in the sky.
There is something majestic about camping in the outback under skies so clear, that it seems you can reach up and grab a star. The vastness of God’s creation is encouragingly beautiful. Somehow inspiring. Somehow refreshing. Deeply isolating. And yet, its the perfect setting for us as God’s Children to meet with him, face to face, facing him, and facing ourselves with his creation declaring his glory with such quiet conviction that we cannot but help worship him, encounter him, and adore him.
