Conversation about the Elect

In any conversation about the doctrine of Election, its important to keep in the uppermost of our minds, and our hearts, that it is Christ, who is the ‘elected one.’ Israel was predestined by God to be the nation who was to be the Christ bearer. The nation from whom Christ would be born, live in, die and raise to life.

There is great confusion about what it means to be a Saint, an elected one by God. There is confusion about does God elect some to life and some eternal death. Scripture its self says that Christ, elected to die for all. Believers become the elect; only because they become part of the body of Christ, who is the Elected one. God through Christ, elected to graft every tribe, every nation, every tongue into himself – by dying for them.BUT, they only become the Elect when they become part of Him who was, who is and who is to come.

This is why I will never EVER be able to tolerate Karl Barth. This is the result a badly fractured hermeneutic and absolutely false as stated brother. It is simply not possible for me to responsibly take up this conversation now though, so I will leave it at that.

  2. Tiribulus says:

God does not act in any way contingent upon the His creatures.
