I am glad to report that the book All Greek to Me: Confessions of an Unlikely Academic is now available for Kindle, for the princely sum of .99cents. It’s an easy read. I for one couldn’t put it down, and I read it in one sitting. He share his life story of becoming a Christian, his move into seminary, his eventual qualifications as a doctor, having completed his phd studies and his eventual placement to the seminary he continues to teach at now.
Despite his academic credentials, Dave remains humble, preferring people to call him Dave. Hi love for Jesus and people is highlighted by his love for missions. He is a man who doesn’t just talk about mission; instead he practices it and places his life on the line regularly for a number of trips he makes to encourage the local brethren.
He asks a huge question in his book,
The question is whether or not you – and your academic goals and accomplishments – have been placed there for the king to use as he sees fit.
I would like to refine that question a little more, and ask, “Whether or not you, your goals and accomplishments have been placed there for the king to use as he sees fit?”
