Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Mark Stevens from the Parsons Patch has written a compelling reflective piece on the reality of Paul’s emotions as he struggles with being a sinful man and who he is in Christ.

Romans 7:22-25

22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Is this not the cry of every Christian at least once in their journey of faith. As for me, I take great comfort in these words, knowing that it is not I who lives, but Christ who has redeemed and set me apart, and its his working within, through and over me…and you…that counts.

Go and say Hi to Mark.
