A night out on and beside Sydney Harbour and Manly.

It’s not every day someone turns 60. And last night we celebrated my mother in law’s 60th birthday. And to celebrate this special event, family gathered at a restaurant on the wharf at Manly. This required a 30 minute train trip and another 40 minute ferry trip, to see us gathered there at 7:30pm. Unfortunately the restaurant service wasn’t the best. One expects great service and great food from a 4 – 5 star restaurant and in this we were disappointed.

However, the celebration with family was great. And we topped the night off by getting some gelato. I chose passionfruit and it was truly a taste of the heavenly divine…well perhaps a slight exaggeration there…but only slight. Winking smile

But, I think we have one of the best, if not the best, harbour in the world. And here are some pictures to prove it. God put on a great paint show in the sky for us, and the ferry trip across the heads was swell. Actually it was very rough and my sister in law seriously thought about catching a bus back. Anyway they say a picture speaks a thousand words, and here are some pictures of our trip.
