Mark Stevens from the Parsons Patch posted a pic of his personal study area and asked about our own personal library. I love books. I love browsing through book shops, book stalls, and others book shelfs. And I look forward to the day when I am able to set up my permanent study area.
At the moment I have no real designated study area. My books are scattered about the house in four places. In one room I have a number of boxes and crates that are full of books and video tapes.
In the lounge room I have a large wooden storage trunk that is also filled with books.
My main place of study is the dining room table. Beside the table I have a small set of draws and book shelf. And to the side of the door I have one one last shelf.
The book shelf in my study area is technically a transient storage area in which the books are kept that are useful to my immediate needs. There are a number of books that I keep because they look good where they are and make a handy basis for a secondary shelf. And finally here is a close up of my small book shelf beside the table.
Btw, if anyone is feeling generous: I feel there is always room to be found for a set of Barth’s Dogmatics, Dan Wallace’s: Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics, or the set of NICOT and NICNT commentary sets…
Let’s see …
Three Greek New Testaments and two beginning Greek grammars.
Looks pretty good to me!
There is a third Greek grammar sitting on the printer beside the table. 🙂
Can you use one more? If you don’t have it already, I’d like to send you a copy of Linguistics for Students of NT Greek. No obligation to review or anything like that.
Thanks. I appreciate that. I will send you my address. And I will do a review also!
Wow! I would be honored!
