I would like to commend this article by Shane Clifton to read. I have shared about Shane in previous posts and am encouraged by his faith in the face of unimaginable hardship.
While I know Shane most likely doesn’t consider himself to be a man of faith at this point in time, and is riddled with fears, doubts, tears and sorrows. I want to say that faith is never the absence of fear, doubts, tears and sorrows; rather faith is what causes us to continue the journey of life within the framework of doubts, fears, tears and sorrows.
Shane I pray that the Lord will restore within you a sense of real joy and peace within the midst of this terrible hardship.
Thank you for pointing this out. I’ve read about how important virtue used to be and that’s obviously not the case at all anymore. Also, being commended, which I believe will be one of our rewards in heaven (commended by God for the works we’ve done).
