This is in regards to some discussion I have been reading about others with whom we might disagree with… particularly Rob Bell.
I remember reading a story about Tozer who while on holidays visited a small church with his son. His son recounts the story about how the preacher killed the sermon and got it wrong in so many ways. However his father (Tozer) wrote down some notes and thanked the preacher at the end of the service.
While resuming their walk, his son questioned his fathers actions and why he wrote notes… His father said – its easy to criticise – but I believe our job is to dig out the nuggets of Gold – which is what I did….
The question I would ask about Bell is what can we actually learn from him…that might actually cause us to stop and take the speck from our own eyes?
