Nathan made a comment to my previous post. On looking at his blog, I found he has a love of cooking. I too enjoy cooking. I am particularly fond of cooking in the backyard using a camp oven; though because of either the scorching heat or rain; I have been relegated to cooking in the kitchen this summer.
I must have annoyed my neighbours last winter; for while I was cooking a great dish of Lamb Shanks in red wine, the local fire brigade came and popped their heads over the fence to check out what I was doing. We still laugh at their statement; “Nice of them to tell you they invited us over for dinner…carry on; your doing nothing wrong!”
This morning I picked the first pumpkin for the season from the garden. A small Queensland Blue; which I made into soup for lunch….no photos. Yummmmm! I am looking forward to the cooler weather; which means camping beside a camp fire and more back yard cooking.
