Always check your facts before making a statement of fact.

I normally try and not take something on board that I hear as verbatim until I have heard both sides of the story. …..Yet…. 😦 recently I made a comment on someone else’s blog about what I heard said by a guest speaker and later found out what I said was in fact far from the truth.

Without going into the details; I retracted my statement on that blog and spoke with one of the senior ministers involved who contacted me about this issue. All in all it was a pleasant; though slightly embarrassing conversation on my part where I deeply apologised for what I wrote.

So; lesson learned…….
